Talking about Game development, HTML5, Javascript and Phaser.
Great news for Phaser users, developers and enthusiasts: Richard Davey, the mind behind this awesome framework, officially quit Phaser 2 development to focus on a completely rebuilt engine at the moment known as Phaser v3 but which will probably be released as Lazer.
These are great news because while we have a robust official release, the CE – Community Edition – will continue to evolve thanks to community support leaving Richard free to spend his time on Phaser v3.
At the moment Phaser CE has been updated to 2.7.1, thanks to the continue work of the community.
As a blogger, I will continue to post examples and tutorials about Phaser, and will continue to do it with Lazer too. I am about to launch a new site which will contain all the examples and source codes you will find on the blog updated to the latest official version – 2.6.2 – as well as ported to Lazer.
I bet 2017 will be the greatest year for Phaser, so stay tuned and follow the development.
You can find the source code and the docs about Phaser CE at the official GitHub page.
Never miss an update! Subscribe, and I will bother you by email only when a new game or full source code comes out.
