When I say the most valuable resource in a blog is made by its readers, I am right.

Readers make the blog popular, contribute with precious comments and ideas, like the ones published by Luis Francesco Silva, author of Flave and a Box2D platform engine.

This time he got addicted by Jelly Car.

It’s a driving/platforming game for both Windows and Xbox360. The game is about driving a squishy car through squishy worlds, trying to reach the exit. The game features soft body physics for all of the objects in the world.

The thing is, JellyPhysics, the Walaber’s engine that was used on that game is open source, so he thought it’d be cool to port it to AS3 for the kicks!

This is what he did:

Since Luis found the original C# engine a bit complex, although he made a brilliant conversion it seems like some bodies are still penetrating others, and it’s a bit slow right now, so he wanted to share his work with us hoping for someone to chew through the code and fix it, making it a fully functional soft body engine for all of us to use.

Here it is the complete source code with all classes.
