Stencyl is the popular game design tool used by a lot of developers to build their games without too much coding, or without coding at all.
Both my iOS games, Circle Chain and Globez, have been made with Stencyl with almost no coding.
Last year a contest called Stencyl Jam got an interesting success, so here is the new contest, called Stencyl Jam 2013
What to Make
– Make a game with any version of Stencyl.
– It may be a Flash game, a mobile (iOS / Android) game or a universal game (Flash + mobile).
– The game has to be new (not something you’ve already published), and it has to be complete.
No theme. No other restrictions. You may submit multiple entries or work with as many people as you’d like.
How to Submit
Post a topic inside the special contest forum.
Include the following…
1) A link to the game, hosted on Stencyl.com, Newgrounds or Kongregate.
2) A brief description of the game.
3) At least 1 screenshot or video of the game.
Prizes
1st Place: $250 + 1 year of Stencyl Studio
2nd Place: $100
3rd Place: $50
Best Mobile Game: $250 + 1 year of Stencyl Studio
Mobile games qualify for all places. In the event that a mobile game places 1st, it would win both top prizes.
Deadline
April 30th @ 11:59 PM (Pacific Time)
