HTML5 Suika Watermelon Game

Talking about Game development, HTML5, Javascript and Monetize.

Here we are, exactly one month ago I blogged about my experiment about my experiment on the monetization of an HTML5 game and now the first game to be launched is ready: I only have to decide how to try to monetize it first.

It’s the HTML5 remake of my old WorDrop game, you can watch the gameplay video here:

There are still some minor things to fix, such as the sounds when playing on Safari, due to a wrong MIME type configuration on my server.

The game works well in almost all browsers, I am just having a couple of issue on some IE versions due to the lack of WebGL support, and on old mobiles when there are much letters on the screen, but since I am planning an optimized version for mobile devices, this is not a problem at the moment.

I am using Clay.io for keeping the scores, and the whole game has been made with Construct2.

Do you want more specs? Well, four layouts, 62 events including sitelock, highscores submission and fade to black transitions, and I hope a lot of fun.

Now, I just have to decide what to do with it to try to raise some bucks. I have some ideas but I’d also love to hear yours.
