It was almost exactly two years ago when I blogged about controlling your HTML5 game character like in vvvvvv mobile game with Construct2, and it seems Shay liked it and wanted to expand the main concept adding up and down swipe directions.
Readers contributions are always welcome, so here is Shay’s project:

With more than only two directions, I would raise a bit minMovement value, but I think Shay showed us the right direction to improve the prototype.
You can download the project but it’s working on the beta release r229 so you may have to upgrade your Construct2 package. I found it absolutely stable.
