Talking about 2048 game, Android, Game development, HTML5, iOS, Javascript and Phaser.

Once you create a robust and costumizable engine for a game, it’s easy to change some code here and there ending with a completely different gameplay.

I’ve been saying for years you have to reuse your source code as much as you can, and one of my latest examples is the SameGame engine you can use to easily create these 10 successful games.

The same concept applies to 2048 game engine, which can be used to create these six games without headache:

ColordsiOS / Android

Merge characters cells with the same color to create a more value cell that will allow you to attack the enemies with the same color. The Apple version does not work on latest iOS, so maybe it’s time to create a clone.

BoneSwiperiOS / Android

Trapped in a dungeon, swipe left, right, up, or down, to combine and craft the best weapons, shields and potions. And kill as many skeletons as you can, that’s your score.

Dungeon TilesiOS

Winner of AppLovin Apple TV App Challenge, Dungeon Tiles is a strategic puzzle game with minimalism and RPG elements in which players swipe the screen to collect swords, dragons, lives, and gold.

Threes!iOS / Android / Web

The game which started it all, Threes! was the very first game of this genre, won a lot of awards but it did not get the deserved success due to game designers cloning and ripping off the idea.

2048 KnightAndroid

With “2048” rules, you have to hunt for monsters, level up your knight and challenge bosses.

Levels – Addictive Puzzle GameiOS / Android

Collect treasures and kill monster while leveling up your allies.

Which game do you prefer? Which game do you think you are able to make? Do you know another game to add to this list? Let me know.
